What is public speaking, and what does it entail? Simply put, public speaking is the process or act of performing a presentation/speech focused around an individual directly speaking to a live audience in a structured, deliberate manner in order to inform, influence or entertain them. This being said, at Orel-vine, we believe it is important to help our pupils learn how to communicate and articulate themselves.
Thus, in order to help the pupils reach their full potential, we have incorporated public speaking as one of the essential clubs. The children are therefore involved in various activities which are geared at fostering their confidence, articulation and ability to express themselves and their ideas clearly. Thus we have embarked on harnessing this skill in the pupils in order to help them better their oratory skills.
At the end of the day, we aim at harnessing that potential that each child has to become a great orator.
Communication is a skill that you can learn. It’s like riding a bicycle or typing. If you’re willing to work at it, you can rapidly improve the quality of every part of your life.
The ability to communicate, and communicate well is one of the keys to success. If you can’t communicate and talk to other people and get across your ideas, you’re giving up your potential.
