Orel Vine School is an international school in Uganda, offering both Cambridge international curriculum (03-19 years) and the Uganda national curriculum at primary level.

The academic year starts in August and ends in June of the following year with termly breaks in between.
Enrolment is flexible throughout the year.

SUMMARY OF ADMISSION AND APPLICATION PROCEDURE
REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Students in Year 7, Year 8, and Year 9 follow the Cambridge Secondary 1 Curriculum. This is a broad curriculum that sets a firm foundation for the start of Cambridge Secondary 2. The subjects studied in Orel Vine School at this level are listed below:
English (EFL), Mathematics, Science, History, French, Global Perspectives, Geography, ICT, Art, Physical Education, and Literature in English.
Students will take Cambridge Checkpoint tests at the end of Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme (Year 9). These tests are marked by Cambridge International for English as a first language, mathematics and science.
Students in Years 10 and 11 follow the University of Cambridge IGCSE programme. The core curriculum offered at Orel Vine School is made up of the subjects listed below:
English as a First Language, Mathematics, French, a choice of one science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics). Other options available are Literature, Business Study, Economics, ICT, History and Geography. Examinations at Orel Vine School are normally sat in May/June of Year 11, and students must obtain a minimum of C to take the subject in Year 12.
Students in Year 12 take 4 AS (Advanced Subsidiary) subjects. The current subjects offered are: English Literature, Mathematics, French, History, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, ICT, Business Study, Economics, Entrepreneurship, and Art.
Examinations at Orel Vine School are normally done in May/June of Year 12. Students must get a minimum of C in order to take the subject at Year 13.
Students in Year 13 take three A2 level subjects. Subjects currently offered are: English Literature, Mathematics, French, History, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, ICT, Business Study, Economics, Entrepreneurship, and Art.
Examinations at Orel Vine School take place in May/June of Year 13.

Yes, we do. Our teachers are often trained in how to treat and teach special needs children in partnership with parents. Though not yet fully fledged, we are growing an amazing Special Needs Department.
