To find one less, we move one step to theh left of the number.
To find one more, we move one step to the right of the number.
To find ten less we take one step above the number on the number grid.
To find ten more, we take one step below the number on the number grid.
what is a pair?
If I can group my items into pairs, (twos) without a remainder, then it is an even number.
If I put my items in pairs, and I remain with one, then it is an odd number.
